The Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC) is a non-profit organization devoted to independent and in-depth research leading to the provision of policy solutions and/or recommendations in the field of energy, natural resources, and national defense in local, national, and global levels.

PYC places a great emphasis on current issues and challenges in energy, natural resources, and national defense sectors in order to help Indonesia have a significant impact on its sustainable development. Playing a significant role in these sectors, PYC regularly conducts research projects and publishes them in various forms such as research reports, podcasts, infographics, opinions, and data center.

PYC also holds events to disseminate knowledge and discussions, such as national and international forums, workshops and conferences. PYC has also engaged with key external stakeholders, academicians and the young generation by organizing national and international seminars.

Through one of its works, PYC has “Indonesian Journal of Energy” or IJE, a double-blind peer review journal that aims to be a leading platform for researchers to share their cutting-edge research output to the public. The selected research articles are expected to have a significant contribution to the energy and its related sector at the local, national or global area.

CHAIRPERSON

Filda C. Yusgiantoro is the Chairperson of Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC). She received her S.T. (bachelor degree) in Chemical Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB); MBM in Business and Management, Università degli Studi Padova, Italy; MBA in Business Administration, Nanyang Business School, Singapore; PhD in Business and Economics, Monash University, Australia.

Besides managing the team at PYC, she is an economics lecturer for undergraduate and graduate programs at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya and Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya. She is also a Board member for Climateworks Center, a non-profit organization from Australia to accelerate action to achieve net zero emissions in Australia and Southeast Asia. She is an Advisory Board member for the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung.
